Located in the hills of the Prom Country in South Gippsland, Victoria - Highland Cattle were the obvious choice when it came to selecting a cattle breed that is best suited to the land and the coastal climate around us. 

We refrain from using artificial fertilizer on the properties we run and utilize regenerative farming practices instead. 

All our animals, whether they are stud or commercial, are pastured and exclusively grass-fed all year round.

The focus of the Yatarna breeding program is on producing quality and true to type animals, as well as offering sound alternatives to many of the in Australia more commonly available Highland Cattle bloodlines - especially when it comes to our bulls.

Our mission as a breeder is to contribute to the preservation and ensuring the purity of this majestic breed for generations to come.

Our cattle's pedigrees include some of the world's most famous and iconic Folds such as Cullerne, Pollok and Achnacloich, as well Her late Majesty The Queen's very own Fold at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. 

All cattle within the Yatarna breeding program are of Fully Imported Bloodlines, meaning their pedigrees can be traced back to the orginal UK - Herdbook.
